The change

One property. Two entirely different arguments.

Most listings need light, space and clarity — every room legible, every window holding its view, nothing left to the imagination. That is Standard Premium, and it is what sells the majority of Auckland homes.

Some properties are not selling square metres. They are selling a feeling — the way afternoon sun crosses a marble bench, the shadow of a pergola on brick. That work belongs in a magazine, so it is shot like one. That is Editorial Magazine Luxury.

Both are shot, graded and delivered by me. Every interior shoot still includes a CubiCasa floor plan.

Five looks · one listing

Same room. Five finishes.

Every property is shot the same way, with the same care. The style is how the images are finished: the colour, the light and the mood. Pick the one that suits the home and the buyer you are chasing — or don’t pick at all, and I’ll recommend one when you book.

The feel

Real light and real shadow. Deep contrast, sunlit highlights, rich timber and stone, skies with weight. Every room looks sculpted, like a feature in an architecture magazine.

Designer builds, statement kitchens and bathrooms, homes with great natural light, and any listing that needs presence to stop the scroll.

The workhorse. Bright, clean and honest — built so a buyer scrolling a listing at 11pm understands the whole house in eight seconds. Windows are exposed so the view survives, verticals are corrected, colour is neutral.

Twilight exteriors and drone work sit inside this style, because they do the same job: establish the property in its street, its coastline, its land.

Style two

Editorial
Magazine Luxury

Shot on the light the house actually gets. Shadows are kept because shadow is what gives a room depth; the grade runs warm; frames are composed tighter and more architecturally, closer to an interiors feature than a listing.

It asks more of the property and more of the day — this style is timed to the sun, not to the diary. Used well, it makes a home look like somewhere you have already read about.

  • Best forPrestige listings, architects, developers, interior designers
  • LookDirectional natural light, warm grade, retained shadow
  • CompositionTighter, architectural, detail-led sequences
  • TimingBooked to the light — a specific window of the day

Series One

Six plates · Interiors
Plate 01

Morning crossing the bench

Blackened joinery against marble. The light is left where it fell — no fill, no lifted shadow.

Plate 02

The room, given its full ceiling

Glazing exposed for the garden beyond rather than for the wall beside it.

Plate 03

Dining, from the far end

Dining and living read as a single continuous space, photographed from opposing ends.

04Living, west end

Series Two — Ashton Road

Five plates · Exteriors
Plate 01

Mediterranean elevation, full frontage

Loggia, lawn and clipped hedging held in one frame at low sun.

Plate 02

The walk to the front door

Brick, column and pergola shadow — the detail a wide listing shot always loses.

03Pergola, from below
04Eave against sky
05Garaging and stone wall

Series Three — Huia Road

Twelve plates · Villa, full campaign
Plate 01

Arrival, under the palms

The villa set back behind its own planting — approach before architecture.

Plate 02

Weatherboard and shadow

Gable, porch and nikau held at an angle that keeps the street out of frame.

03Kitchen, to the garden
04Glassware, shallow
05Tapware and herbs
Plate 06

Plate 11

Outdoor room, looking back in

Shot from the lawn so the house reads as the backdrop to the table, not the subject.

Plate 12

The whole back of the house

Deck, steps and lawn in one continuous move — the frame the campaign closes on.

What you get

Everything a listing needs, in one visit.

No line-item surprises after the shoot. The aerial is in. The floor plan is in. The gallery is in. What changes between the two photography packages is how the house is lit and graded, not how much of it you get.

  • Up to 30 interior and exterior frames, HDR blended and hand-finished
  • Aerial drone coverage, flown under CAA Part 101
  • Measured CubiCasa 2D floor plan with dimensions
  • Verticals corrected, windows exposed so the view survives
  • Custom listing gallery you can send straight to the vendor
  • Full resolution and web-sized files, delivered in under 12 hours
  • Shot, graded and delivered by me — not a contractor roster

FAQ

Real estate photography, answered

How much does real estate photography cost in Auckland?

FOX Frame is $400 including GST. That covers up to 30 interior and exterior photos, aerial drone coverage and a measured 2D floor plan, delivered in under 12 hours.

FOX Muse is $600 and shoots the same coverage in the Editorial Magazine Luxury style. Properties over 300 square metres carry a $200 surcharge on photography packages, confirmed at booking once the floor area is known.

How quickly are the photos delivered?

Under 12 hours for photography. A morning shoot is with you the same evening, ready for the listing to go live the next day.

Is the floor plan really included?

Yes. Every interior shoot includes a measured CubiCasa 2D floor plan with dimensions, at no extra cost. It is not an upsell and it is not an optional extra on the photography packages.

Is drone photography included, and are you licensed?

Aerial photography is included in both photography packages. Flights are operated under CAA Part 101. If the property sits in controlled airspace I will tell you before the booking rather than on the day.

What is the difference between Standard Premium and Editorial Magazine Luxury?

Standard Premium is bright, even and complete — every room legible to a buyer scrolling a listing at 11pm. Editorial Magazine Luxury keeps directional light and shadow, runs a warmer grade and frames tighter and more architecturally, closer to an interiors feature than a listing.

FOX Muse at $600 is shot for editorial from the start: booked to the best light of the day and framed for it, then graded. The $200 Editorial upgrade is for a shoot already done the Standard way — same photos, re-graded in an editorial finish. Frame plus the upgrade comes to the same $600 as Muse, so if you know up front the property deserves editorial, book Muse: the shoot itself is planned for it.

Which parts of Auckland do you shoot?

All of it — the central isthmus, North Shore, West Auckland, East Auckland, South Auckland, the Hibiscus Coast and Waiheke Island. Travel fees may apply outside Auckland.
